What is Pashmina?

The word Pashmina comes from Persian / Farsi where the word root "Pashm" means Wool.  Pashmina scarves feel like wool or fine-textured cashmere, as such they are very comfortable to wear. 

The original Pashminas derived from mountain goats, and typically hand-woven in the Himalayas, or Kashmir are hard to find in the West.  Most Pashminas on the market today are a mix of natural and synthetic fibers which produce a light weight pashmina scarf.  It is a very fine product nonetheless.
